More than 3,000+ law students across 129 ABA-accredited law schools have already turned to my course for help achieving their academic goals.
After six years of teaching my flagship course, authoring the second edition of my book, and conducting qualitative research on how law students learn, I'm updating the course to make the system even more effective—and more personalized to you.

BUILT ON RESEARCH. CUSTOMIZED TO YOU.
What's New in the Course?
The latest research on how law students succeed.
In 2026, I completed my second qualitative study, involving 252 law students from 56 ABA-accredited law schools nationwide. The updated course incorporates insights into how today's law students' study, along with new ways to customize the system to work for you. You don't need more random study tips from people who haven't been in law school for decades. You need a proven study system that reflects how students learn and succeed today.
Customize the system to how you learn.
Take two new online assessments to explore whether you tend to be a big-picture or detail-oriented learner and identify your learning preferences. Then learn how to adapt each step of the study system to your preferences so you can study more efficiently and effectively.
Learn a systematic way to master the law.
Turn piles of information from class into manageable topics, then follow a repeatable, step-by-step learning system to build a deep understanding of each one.
Know if you're doing it right.
Use new competency assessment rubrics to evaluate your performance at each step of the system, identify where you need to improve, and make adjustments as you go. You'll learn how to become your own teacher.
Prepare for exams all semester—not just for class.
Learn how to format, write, and assess practice answers for each topic throughout the semester, so you're building exam skills long before finals instead of scrambling at the last minute.
Strengthen your legal analysis.
Learn the three components of rule-based analysis and eight components of case-based analysis, then practice writing stronger analysis sentences with additional exercises and assessment.
Know what to do each week.
Build a sustainable weekly study schedule so you know what needs to get done, when to do it, and when you can finally exhale.
